In his practice as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, Dr. Wickert encounters many patients with venous disease and his interest in treating these disorders prompted him to pursue further education in this specialty. Dr. Wickert began his formal training in phlebology in 2002. He later joined the American College of Phlebology and trained with leading experts in the Chicago area and both east and west coasts. Experience included ultrasonography and Doppler imaging, exposure to extensive venous pathology and a complete program in vein care including sclerotherapy, laser therapy, ambulatory phlebectomy, and endovenous laser procedures.
